EXAMPLE:

"I know modern albums have been getting louder and louder, but I’m not really that concerned with having the album mastered for maximum loudness. I would rather that the sound stays warm and close to the mix, and the instruments should mesh well with one another. I prefer things to be a bit muddy rather than overly clear. The vocals should stay a bit embedded in the sound rather than stand out too much."
